About this site

Practice Software Reviews is an independent review site for the software owner-operated medical practices run their businesses on.

Who writes this

Derk Hopkins. I run digital marketing and analytics for a living — paid media, attribution, and the measurement plumbing that tells you which marketing actually produced a booked patient. This site applies that lens to practice software: not "which tool has the most features," but "which tool helps a practice of your size and stage actually acquire and keep patients."

How the reviews are built

Every tool gets two separate scores, shown side by side and never blended: the third-party satisfaction rating (what real users report on sites like Capterra and G2, with the count and pull-date shown) and our own marketing-capability score (0–5), derived from a fixed six-layer rubric covering the parts of patient acquisition the tool touches. Pricing is always dated. Every review names who should not buy the tool.

Independence

We earn referral fees from some vendors. That never decides who we recommend or how a tool scores, and every affiliate link is marked where it appears. The full policy — including the operating entity, Oliver Hill Group LLC — is on the how we're paid page.
